Mitsui Sumitomo Welfare Foundation 2021 Research Grant: Call for Applications in Singapore

The Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Welfare Foundation (MSIWF) was founded in 1975 in Japan and dedicates itself to practicable research in the areas of traffic safety and senior citizen welfare. To date, the foundation has handed out more than 2,180 awards with a combined value of JPY 2,469 million (S$30.0 million) across Japan, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.

Applications are welcome for the following scopes of research:

S$10,000 maximum for each grant award

Eligibility

  • Individual/group proposals
  • Singapore-based researchers and academics only
  • Graduate students and above only
  • The length of research covered by the grant is one year. Research projects should commence in December 2021 or January 2022.
